Glenn C. "Buck" Hall, 81, of Purdy, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
He was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Barry County, the son of Homer and Nora (Ennis) Hall. On May 19, 1947, in Columbus, Kan., he was united in marriage to Louise Greek, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Bobby Joe Hall and his wife, Sandy, of Purdy, and Terry Hall, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a daughter, Judy Cole and her husband, Larry, of Monett; a daughter-in-law, Dalene Hall, of Claremore, Okla.; a brother, Columbus Hall, of Carthage; a sister, Elenore Winters, of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Hall; two brothers, Hershel and Don Hall; and four sisters, Alma Myers, Juanita Miller, Clara Mae Horner and Lois Kennedy.
He received his education in Purdy. In 1950 he moved to Kansas and worked as a unit operator for the oil fields. He moved back to Barry County, in 1962 and dairy farmed for twenty years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Monett.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Sparks Cemetery, Butterfield.
