Cassville teen injured in hit and run

A Cassville teenager sustained minor injuries in a hit-and-run on Highway 37 one mile north of Cassville last Thursday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as Charles Mouser, 17, who was riding a bicycle, turned into the side of a Dodge Dynasty that was attempting to pass him. The driver, whose identity is unknown, left the scene of the crash.

Mouser was taken by private vehicle to St. John's Hospital-Cassville.

The Patrol report indicated that he was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred at 5:15 p.m.

Other traffic crashes

* A Golden woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on McKune Animal Hospital's private parking lot, which is located on Highway P one-half mile south of Highway 86, last Wednesday. The crash occurred as Kathleen Stephens, 52, who was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger, was attempting to park. Stephens' foot slipped off of the brake pedal and hit the gas pedal, which caused her vehicle to strike the building. Stephens was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Berryville, Ark. The crash occurred at 3:40 p.m.
