Ruth Marie (Boyd) Anderson, 77, of Golden, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, in her home after a short illness.

She was born Oct. 17, 1931, in Chetopa, Kan., to Raymond T. Boyd and Goldie Mineral (Ventle) Boyd. She married Robert E. Anderson on June 29, 1951, in Corpus Christy, Texas.

She was a great seamstress and made a lot of items to take to arts and crafts festivals in the four-state area. She was a long time resident of Longmont, Colo., before moving to Golden a few years ago after her retirement.

Survivors include: her husband, Bob, of the home; a daughter, Carol Ann Lucas of Golden; two sisters, Betty Nicholson of Plano, Texas and Retha Miller of Welch, Okla.; one brother, Raymond Boyd of Welch, Okla.; one grand-daughter; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Colleen Fay Anderson and Karoline Kay Anderson; and one sister, Judy Early.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Russell Creek Cemetery in Welch, Okla. Interment will followed. Services were under the direction of Jim Thomas, Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, Okla.
