Glen Scott III, a seventh grade student at Purdy Middle School, has earned a position on the Missouri Wrangler Junior High Rodeo Team and will be travelling with fellow teammates to Gallup, N.M., from June 30 through July 5 to compete at the fourth annual Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo (WJHFR). Scott will be competing in chute dragging, calf roping, ribbon roping, team roping and goat tying. The WJHFR will feature more than 1,000 contestants from 47 states, Canadian provinces and Australia. In addition to competing for more than $75,000 in prizes, WJHFR contestants will also be vying for more than $50,000 in college scholarships and the chance to be named the Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo National Champion.
