Gloria Jean Cox, 64, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008, in UAMS Medical Center, Little Rock, Ark.

She was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Cassville, the daughter of Grover and Edith (Williamson) Smith. On Sept. 2, 1961, in Oak Ridge, she was united in marriage to Bill Cox, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, David Cox and his wife, Michelle, of Mt. Vernon, and Donnie Cox and his wife, Monica, of Rogers, Ark.; her mother, Edith Ash, of Cassville; two sisters, Barbara Smith, and her husband, Kirby, of Aurora, and Carolyn Biggs and her husband, Rex, of Cassville; and and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Jerry Smith.

She received her education in Cassville, where she graduated high school. She lived most of her life in the Cassville area, including 25 years in Wheaton and six years in Ozark. In 1998, she and Bill moved to Rogers, Ark., to make their home. She was an active member in the Pinnacle Hills Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services were held Monday at Pinnacle Hills Baptist Church, Rogers, Ark., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Ryan and Rev. Drew Tucker conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
