Dorothy Case, 71, of Purdy, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, in the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Vernon.

She was born July 5, 1936, in Mano, the daughter of James E. and Bessie (Brock) Sanders. On May 8, 1976, in New Orleans, La., she was united in marriage to John Case, who survives.

Additional survivors include: six sons, Charles McManus and his wife, Anita, of Purdy, Kenneth McManus, of Purdy, William "Billy" McManus, of Rogers, Ark., David McManus and his wife, Lisa, of Springdale, Ark., Daniel McManus and his wife, Robin, of Rogers, Ark., and John Case, Jr., of Cassville; one brother, James E. Sanders, Jr., of Exeter; two sisters, Alfreda Tracy, of Florida, and Ruby Ulmer, of Cassville; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and a daughter, Paula Cherry.

She received her education at Cross Hollows School and was a lifelong resident of Barry County. She worked several years at Fasco Industry in Cassville as a motor winder.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in Sparks Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the service.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
