Velma Ambolene Tilford-Juel, 77, of Seligman, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home.

She was born on May 25, 1930, in Garfield, Ark., the daughter of Hudson and Lula (Lundy) Robinette. She was united in marriage to Arlus Tilford in 1945. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1996. She was a beautician for over 40 years. She owned and operated Ambo's Beauty Shop in Seligman. She was a life-long resident of Seligman and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seligman. On May 15, 1997, she was united in marriage to Leonard Juel in Bentonville, Ark., and he survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Darrel Tilford, and his wife, Sandra, of Seligman; one brother, Ronald Robinette, and his wife, Jeanie, of Edinburg, Texas; two granddaughters, Tosha Fox, of Joplin, and Connie Connelley, of Springfield; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her first husband, Arlus Tilford, she was preceded in death by one son, David Tilford, on April 16, 1995.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Seligman, with Rev. Bob Scott officiating. burial was at the Seligman Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the The Gideons, or to St. John's Hospice, and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
