Wednesday, May 14, 2008

If you live in the above fire district and you have an emergency, call 911. Do not call the old emergency number anymore.

1. You should put your new house number sent to you by the 911 Center on your mail box. If there are several houses on your road, you may put that same house number on your house. This will help us find you when you call for help.

2. If your farm road sign is wrong, it will be corrected.

3. For those of you with no farm road number, street signs will names will be installed in the near future.

4. You can change your address whenever you want now. The postmaster in Eagle Rock said he will maintain two addresses for a period of time.

The 911 system is very complex but will be a great improvement when up and running 100 percent. Dispatching will be done by well-trained people that will be capable in assisting you while you wait for the fire department to

And coming will be a system within the 911 system to notify you of a pending tornado or other disaster.

If you have any questions, you may call Fire Station #1 on Highway 86 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call 847-8302 or 847-6648.
