Clarence L. "Poncho" Collings, 77, of Wheaton, died Friday, March 28, 2008, in Fayetteville Veterans Hospital.
He was born, June 29, 1930, in Stella, the son of the late Leonard Orbin and Ocie Ellen (Francisco) Collings.
He was a member of Spring River Tractor Pulling Association.
He was a retired cattle farmer and small business owner. He served his country in the United Stated Air Force in Korea.
Survivors include: one son, Randy Collings, of Purdy; one daughter, Robin Brattin, and husband, Mark, of Exeter; one adopted son, Chris Collings, of Cassville; two brothers, Virgil Collings, and wife, Wilma, of Washington state, and George Collings, and wife, Maudelle, of Springdale, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Samuel, Leo, Willie, and Tommy; and one daughter, Debbie.
Services were held at Ridgley Baptist Church, Monday with Rev. Richard Buck officiating.
Interment followed at the Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
