Ophelia Robbins, 78, of Rogers, Ark., formerly of Exeter, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, Ark.
She was born May 20, 1929, in Jenkins, the daughter of Walter and Sadie Belle (Moore) Bowling. On Sept. 7, 1943, she was united in marriage to Roy Robbins, who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Carolyn Sue Robbins and Deborah Jo Lewis; two brothers, Earl and Leslie Bowling; and one sister, Bonnie Crabtree.
survivors include: one daughter, Linda Tichenor, of Exeter; three sons, Kenneth Robbins, and his wife, Sheila, of Cassville, Bernard Robbins and his wife, Cathy, of Blue Springs, and J.D. Robbins, and his wife, Faye, of Washburn; a son-in-law, Larry Lewis, of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Bill Bowling, of Rogers, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She received her education at Crane. She spent most of her life in Barry County. For several years she was employed as a clerk for Ozarks Sport Spot and retired from L & L Convenience Store in Exeter. She was a member of Exeter First Baptist Church. In 1992, she moved to Rogers, Ark., to make her home.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. James Stewart and Rev. Bob Neeley conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
