Russell David Browns-berger, 49, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in his home.

He was born March 16, 1958, in Jackson County, Kansas City, the son of Virgil Lawrence and Avenell (Dodson) Brownsberger.

Survivors include: two sons, David Lawrence Brownsberger, of El Dorado Springs, and Raymond Russell Brownsberger, of the home; a daughter, Linda Marie Brownsberger, of the home; his father, Virgil Lawrence Brownsberger, of Deepwater; his mother, Avenell Carter Innis, of Shell Knob; a brother, Raymond Carter, of Raytown; two sisters, Connie Ring, of Golden, and Carolyn Riddle, and her husband, Shaun, of Shawnee, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He received his education in Raytown. In 1994, he moved from Deepwater to Shell Knob. At the time of his death he was living on their century old farm in Shell Knob and working as a self-employed concrete contractor. He was of the Christian faith and attended the Church of Christ in Shell Knob.

Funeral services were held Monday in Church of Christ, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home-Shell Knob. Wayne Deffenbaugh conducted the services. Burial was at Fields Cemetery, Shell Knob.
