Jewell Ellen (Standlee) Wilson, 90, of Golden, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Cedar Ridge Care Center, Cassville.

She was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Grandview, Ark., the daughter of Jim Frank and Florence (Ramey) Standlee. In September 1941, she was united in marriage to Eddie Wilson who preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include: one brother, Leon Standlee, of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Rosemary Curry, of Eagle Rock; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Standlee and Juanita Standlee, both of Golden.

She received her education in Golden and graduated from Cassville High School in 1936. She attended two years of Business College in Chillicothe and then worked as secretary for the San Francisco Wells Fargo Bank Real Estate Department. In 1952, she moved to their farm near Golden and continued living alone after the death of her husband in 1986 until January of this year. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Golden.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in First Southern Baptist Church, Golden, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Woody Fletcher conducted the services. Burial was at McGuire Cemetery, Viola.
