ELMO L. POWER

Elmo L. Power, 77, of Eagle Rock, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Lacoba Nursing Home, Monett. He was born March 20, 1930, in Ava to Winfield Scott and Dicie Piland Power. He was a retired real estate broker and was of Southern Baptist faith.

He married Betty Riddle Power on Aug. 5, 1950, in Monett, and she survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, James Power, of Mt. Vernon, and Robert Power, of Eagle Rock; one sister, Virginia Long, of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two infant sons, and two brothers, Cecil Power and Ross Power.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Chapel, Monett, with Aaron Weibel officiating. Burial will be at Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
