Thelma V. Sisney, 82, of Leedey, Okla., formerly of Cassville, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, in Bell Avenue Nursing Center, Elk City, Okla.

She was born April 5, 1925, in Hailey, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Cooper) Skelton. On July 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to Loy J. Sisney, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Peggy Snyder; one granddaughter, Stacy Lynn Snyder and five brothers, Orville, Cecil, John, George and Donald Glen.

Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy Kauk, and her husband, Enos of Leedey, Okla.; one son-in-law, Glen Snyder, of Kirksville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She received her education in Barry County. She spent most of her adult life in Southeast Colorado, moving back to Barry County in 1984. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Neeley will conduct the services.

There will be no visitation.
