Nora Jane Collier, 69, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.
She was born Oct. 21, 1938, in Mountain Grove, the daughter of Arthel and Carrie (Tooley) Bowden. On Nov. 3, 1959, in Lenexa, Kan., she was united in marriage to William R. "Bill" Collier, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Constance Collier Brown, of Cassville; one grandson; six sisters, Oma Clark, of Kansas City, Kan., Leona Garlett, of Higginsville, Ida Sayler, of Princeton, Kan., Janice Seacrease, of Kansas City, Mary Eastland, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Linda Goold, of Olathe, Kan.; and two brothers, Clay Bowden, of Overland Park, Kan., and Robert Bowden, of Ottawa, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and four sisters, Virginia Erb, Lorene Brown, Hazel Hedges and Ilene Paul.
She was raised in Lenexa, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City, and was a graduate of Shawnee Mission High School. In 1977, she and her family moved to Cassville where they owned and operated the Roaring River Deer Park & Frontier City.
She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Cassville, where funeral services were held Tuesday, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverends Bob Neeley and James Stewart conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
