Mary Anne Hitchcock, 83, of Cassville, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.

She was born March 6, 1924, in Thayer, Kan., the daughter of John L. and Bertha L. (Nicholson) Naff. On March 6, 1942, in Erie Kan., she was united in marriage to David Lester Hitchcock, who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Walter Naff.

Survivors include: two sisters, Lucille Howard, of Overland Park, Kan., and Louise McCallum, of Guthrie, Okla.

She received her education at Parsons and Chanute, Kan. She and her husband resided in Oklahoma and Arkansas several years. She moved to Cassville after the death of her husband. She had been a waitress many years in various restaurants. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cassville.

Graveside services were held Sunday at Easley Cemetery, Eagle Rock, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services.
