He was born March 7, 1922, in Stella, the son of the late Nellie Mae Cook.
He was a member of Union Chapel Church, where he had been a Sunday school teacher for many years.
He worked most his life as a farmer and hauled milk for many years. He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors include: his wife, Lela Mae Cook; his son, Kenneth Cook, and wife Dorothy, of Stark City; his daughter, Glenda Cook, of Rocky Comfort; his son, Kervyn Cook, and wife, Joyce, of Fairview; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at Union Chapel Church, Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frank Arnall, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Union/Owlsly Cemetery, Stella.
