Madaline (Thompson) Edmondson, 95, of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at St. John's Hospital in Cassville.

She was born July 14, 1912 in Cassville, the daughter of Charley and Anna (Henson) Thompson. On March 17, 1931, she was united in marriage to Newman Edmondson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She was a lifelong resident of this area. She and Newman owned a small farm in the Mineral Springs area, where she lived until retirement and then moved to Cassville. She previously worked for Sanitary Market, Piggly Wiggly and Milgrams grocery stores in Cassville. She was a volunteer at the Cassville Senior Citizens Center as well as OATS. She graduated from Cassville Schools and was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Cassville.

She is survived by one sister, Elsie Bowman, of Cassville.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with Brother Wayne Betts and Rev. Doyle Russell officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
