Gary "Jughead" Davidson, 62, of Golden, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident near Golden.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1945, in Vernon, Texas, the son of Cloves Abner and Iva Lee Pearl (Fillmore) Davidson. He spent his childhood in Davidson, Okla., and moved to Kinsley, Kan., in 1972, where he owned and operated Jughead Spraying Service from 1974 till 2000. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and pilot school in 1971. They moved to Golden on Jan. 30, 2006.
He married Cindy Leasonhabiger, on July 8, 1973, in Grandfield, Okla. She survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Darrin Michael Habiger, of Scott City, Kan., Dustin Lee Davidson, and his wife, Staci, of Webb City, and Brandon Abner Davidson, and his wife, Bridget, of Scott City, Kan.; one daughter, Rebecca Hodge, and her husband, Paul, of Spring, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and one sister, Rita Jane Kreutziger, and her husband, Emmitt, of Davidson, Okla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Lynn Davidson.
Funeral services with military honors were held at Saturday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with Rev. Jim Clay officiating.
