The Cassville Ladycats battled against the perennially strong Chadwick Lady Cardinals and eventually fell 50-59 after two overtime periods.
Cassville led 21-14 at the half but were unable to hold it. In the final two quarters, Chadwick outscored the Ladycats 28-21 to tie up the game and send it into extra time.
After each team scored 8 points in the first overtime period, Chadwick took over and was able to claim the non-conference victory with a 9-0 run.
Senior Brittany Vollenweider was Cassville's top point-getter with 18 points followed by sophomore Marti Richmiller with 10 points.
Others scoring for the Ladycats were: Gail Edie 6 and Gabby LeCompte and Lindsey Turner with 4 each.
Cassville, coached by Chris Shore, is scheduled to host Lamar on Thursday, Jan. 31 before travelling to Monett next Monday, Feb. 4.
