Ronald Kent Hargrove, 57, of Longview, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1950, in Ralls, Texas, the son of J.D. and Lillian Beatrice (Cox) Hargrove. He worked most of his life as a farmer and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He married Betty Hargrove on Oct. 13, 2001, in Longview, and she survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Jay Dee Hargrove II, of Neosho; one daughter, Sam Hargrove, of Longview; three brothers, David Hargrove, of Armstrong, Iowa, Bill Hargrove, of Augusta, Kan., and Hilous Hargrove, of House, N.M.; two sisters, Ruthie Moore, of Tucson, Ariz., and Lynda Shuggart, of South Carolina; one grandson; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gale and Terry Hargrove, and two sisters, Ida Henderson and Betty Albright.
Graveside services were held on Monday at the Union/Owlsly Cemetery in Stella with Rev. Billy Joe Gentry officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Cassville.
