He was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Wheaton to the late John Emil and Junie Mae (Smith) Fehring. He was a dairy farmer and was a civilian test pilot during WWII.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Tichenor-Smart and Jewell McCracken.
Survivors include: wife, Joanne, of the home; three sons, Ralph Jr. and his wife, Terry, of Neosho; Stephen and his wife, Samantha, of Aurora; and David and his wife, Julia, of Neosho; 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Arrangements were handled by Wheaton Funeral Home, Wheaton.
