Boys action

• Eagles soar over Southwest, Wheaton. The Purdy Eagles kept the South-west Trojans under control, beating them 58-38 in an Ozark 7 Conference game. Purdy was led by Mason Roller's 15 points. Codie Harmon had 10 points for the Trojans. The Eagles also took down Wheaton 37-24 in another conference game. Roller led in this game with 11 points, and Sean Crane had 8 points for the Bulldogs.

• Trojans edged by TJ. The Southwest Trojans couldn't quite keep up in a contest versus Thomas Jefferson and fell 53-47. Levi Roberts led all scorers in the contest with 25.

Girls action

• Exeter outscores Lady Eagles. The Exeter Lady Tigers outscored Purdy 68-57 to earn an Ozark 7 Conference victory. Whitney Edie had 26 points to lead Exeter and Shelby Bowman tallied 21. Purdy was led by Audrey Patton with 19 points.

• Purdy defeats Lady Trojans on last second shot. Shelby White hit a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer to lift the Lady Eagles over Southwest 55-54 this week. Southwest took the lead with five seconds remaining, but White dribbled the in-bounds pass down court and hit the game-winning shot. White led Purdy with 17 points on the night. Southwest was led by Jessica Mitchell's 17 points.

• Lady Bulldogs fall to Purdy. Purdy also beat Wheaton this week 61-20. After a 21-4 first quarter, the Lady Eagles never looked back. White had 21 for Purdy. Haley Goostree had 7 points for Wheaton. The Lady Bull-dogs also lost to Pierce City 46-25 this week. Goostree tallied 10 to lead her squad.
