Donald Knox Goshay, 80, of Golden, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at his home.
He served his country during World War II in the U.s. Army and also in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Hollywood High School and the University of California at Los Angeles with degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering. He was a registered professional engineer in both California and Missouri. He was employed at Douglas Aircraft as a research engineer during the early space program. He was united in marriage to Helen Wiczenski on Oct. 15, 1966, and she survives.
He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
Additional survivors include: two sons, William and Edwards Goshay, of California; one daughter Marie Main, of California; two brothers, robert Goshay and Michael Goshay; two sisters, Marguarite O'Donnell, of California, and Loraine Stahr, of Oregon; 9 grandchildren; one step-daughters, Trisha and her husband, Richard Espolt, of Georgetown, Texas; and one step-grandson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Eagle Rock United Methodist Church, Eagle Rock, with Rev. Nancy Wilson officiating. A private family graveside interment will follow.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Green Forest, Ark.
