Billy Ray Brown, 73, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

He was born March 15, 1934, in Cassville, the son of George R. and Eva Leah (Owens) Brown. On May 22, 1953, he was united in marriage to Jeanetta Dunbar, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Larry Ray Brown, of Exeter; six daughters, Teresa Griffin and her husband, David, of Spring Valley, Calif., Carolyn Holland and her husband, Larry, of Pahrump, Nev., Rajean Marlowe and her husband, Phillip, of Cassville, Sandra Shockley and her husband, Ron, of Exeter, Laura Hollingsworth and her husband, Cecil, of Cassville, and Ellen Brown Olmstead, of Cassville; a sister, Ruby Hickman, of the State of California, and a sister-in-law, Reva Brown, of Cassville; 13 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and one grandson, Bobby Dale Holland.

He graduated from high school in Cassville, where he was a lifelong resident. For several years he was a truck driver for OCOMO Foods (now Tysons) then worked in the plumbing and well drilling business. He was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held Saturday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
