Johny Lee Rogers, 68, son of Eva (Snyder) and Deyoe Rogers, died Nov. 30, 2007. He was born on Nov. 20, 1939, on a farm near Hardtner, Kan. He attended the Hardtner School system where he graduated from high school with the class of 1959.
On Sept. 30, 1962, he was married to Janet LeVone Hutson in Leon, Kan. To their marriage two children, Julie Lynn and Jay Leslie were born.
Following their marriage they made their home in Wichita, Kan. On March 19, 1963, he joined the United States Army serving at Fort Carson, Colo., and in Chicago, Ill., at the 5th Army Headquarters. After his discharge on March 18, 1965, they made their home in Leon, Kan.
He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Rogers Searles, his parents, four brothers, Mac, Dorcel, Bill and David.
Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Mary, of Cassville; one grandson; three sisters, Frances Dauner, of Amarillo, Texas, Lois Adams, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Hope Swinford, of Albuquerque, N. M.; three brothers, Donald, of Hardtner, Kan., Everett, of Coldwater, Kan., and Louis, of Dodge City, Kan.
