JACK REID STANLEY

Jack R. Stanley, 62, of Marionville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. He was born April 23, 1945, in Spartanburg, S.C. to Nichols and Vera (Gossett) Abbott. He was raised by his mother and adoptive father Howard Stanley. He was a 1963 Marionville High School graduate and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1968.

He married Frankie Louise Taylor Sept. 3, 1967, in Shell Knob. He worked for Mitchell Energy as a petroleum geologist, retiring in 1995.

Survivors include: his wife, Frankie; two sons, Steven and his wife, Janna, of Sammamish, Wash., and Patrick and his wife, Karen, of Denver, Colo.; one grandson; four sisters, Carol Lewellen, of Mountian Home, Ark., Linda Jatko, of Murfreesboro, N.c., Claudean Kramiek, of Bloomfield, N.J., and Patricia Narducci, of Brick, N.J.; one brother, Reggie Abbot, of Bloomfield, N.J.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
