CHS football players, cheerleaders honored at annual awards program

Cassville High School football players and cheerleaders were honored during a special awards program on Nov. 19. Awards were presented by Head Football Coach David Large and Jennifer Hanson, cheerleading sponsor.

Football awards

Before presenting individual awards, Coach Large highlighted the accomplishment of this year's squad led by a 19-member senior class. In 2007, the squad went 9-1 and are 28-3 over the last three years. This run also includes two Big 8 Conference championships.

• MVP Offensive Line: Billy Wright.

• MVP Offensive Back: Laith Hayward.

• MVP Defensive Line: Danny Naugle.

• MVP Defensive Back: Ryan Rowley.

• Most Improved: Jacob Gouvion.

• Hard Hat Award: Ethan Couch.

• Strongheart Award: Phillip Cooper.

• Rotary MVP: Dannon Rose.

Seniors: Jeremy Archuleta, Michael Baker, Michael Cabral, Phillip Cooper, Laith Hayward, Cory Howard, Cody Lee, Danny Naugle, Zack Poe, Dannon Rose, Ryan Rowley, Tyler Smith, Lane Stubblefield, Kenneth Taft, Billy Wright and Dylan Yarnall.
