William Edward Dodson, 78, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at his home.
He was born on June 22, 1929, in Springfield, the son of Arthur James and Bessie Geneva Jackson dodson. He was owner of Dod-Co. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had been a resident of the Shell Knob area since 1995.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty A. Maynard Dodson, of the home; four children, Robert J. Dodson, of Walnut Grove, Patricia A. Gertiser, of Fayetteville, Ark., Rebecca Thompson, of Shell Knob, and Dana McGuire, of Shell Knob; three sisters, Sharon Galati, of New Jersey, Katie Bradley, of Jefferson City, and Elizabeth Dodson, of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Missouri Vererans' cemetery in springfield, with full military honors. Rev. Robert Gaddis conducted the service.
Arrangements were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.
