In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, we wish our readers a "Happy Thanksgiving" full of many blessings and festive family celebrations. Some of you will celebrate Thanksgiving right here in Barry County while others will travel to visit their loved ones who live farther away. Some will enjoy huge meals surrounded by generations of family members while others will participate in quieter get-togethers with friends who are like family.
Whatever your circumstances this Thanksgiving, we hope you'll take time to count your blessings and find reason to celebrate all the little things that make life grand. Toward that end, we want to share some of our favorite Scripture verses that deal with giving thanks. We hope these words will warm your heart and lift your spirits.
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Colossians 3:15

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Psalm 100:4
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances. . ." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
