Troy Matthew Edwards, 76, of Shell Knob, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in his home.

He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Baxter Community, the son of Elmer Matthew and Lydia Leania (Mills) Edwards. On Dec. 12, 1981, in Shell Knob, he was united in marriage to Viola Mae Gromer, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Richard Edwards, of North Carolina, Ronald Edwards and his wife, Rita, of Big Fork, Mont., and Robert Edwards and his wife, Lisa, of Marion, Mont.; one daughter, Linda Floyd Chappell and her husband, Gary, of Shell Knob, one stepson, Robert Curnock and his wife, Karen, of Waco, Texas; two stepdaughters, Christine Carol Moore and her husband, Clyde, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Bonnie Curnock of Berryville, Ark.; two sisters, Oneta Biggerstaff and Elveta Hayhurst, both of Lampe; a sister-in-law, Betty Edwards; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

He received his education in the Blue Eye Schools. In 1950 he moved from Oroville, Calif., back to Shell Knob where he was born. He was owner of Edwards Const. He was a member of Grace Community Fellowship in Shell Knob.

Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Burial was at McCullough Cemetery, Viola. Pastor Jonathan Brobston conducted the services.
