Jeanne L. Evans, 75, of Seligman, formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at her home in Seligman.

She was born on May 6, 1932, in Siloam Springs, Ark., the daughter of John and Mary (Brown) Jones. She married Ernest Leo Evans on July 2, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.

Survivors include: two sons, Ernest Leo (Rocky) Evans and his wife, Elizabeth, of Columbus, Ohio, and Paul Martin Evans and his wife, Sandy, of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Paula Jean Leather and her husband David, of Zanesville, Ohio, and Lisa L. Makela and her husband, Paul, of Seligman; two sisters, Virginia Marshall of Watts, Okla., and Linda Scott, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ginger Wright.

Graveside services were held on Nov. 3 at the Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Ark., with Reverend Bob Scott officiating. Memorials may be made to God's Victory Pantry, First Baptist Church, Seligman.

Arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
