He was a member of the National Guards in Pierce City for 24 years. He served in Iraq from May 2003 to July 2004.
Survivors include: one son, Bradley Barnes, of Pierce City; one daughter, Michelle Claude, of Monett; one brother, Troy Wilde, of Utah; three sisters, Renae Barnes, of Wheaton, Connie Kingrey, of Monett, and Lynn Freeman, of Pierce City; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at King's Prairie Cemetery, Monett, with Rev. Jimmie Copley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
