Mark Jacob Snell, 93, of Exeter, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Red Rose Inn in Cassville.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1914, in Shelby, Mich., the son of Mark Jocob Snell Sr. and Abbie (Routhie) Snell. His wife Lois Fast Snell preceded him in death in 2004.

He was a government employee with the CCC during the 1930s and a foundry worker for 30 years He was a lifelong resident of the State of Michigan until he moved to Exeter three years ago to be with his family. He attended Bible Baptist Church in Cassville.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Mark Snell, and his wife, Mary, of Exeter; one daughter, Geraldine Newell, of the State of California; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Wentzloff, of the State of Michigan.

Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bible Baptist Church in Cassville.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home in Cassville.
