Rondal Gene "Tex" Williamson, 75, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.

He was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Eagle Rock, the son of Ermal and Minnie Mae (Easley) Williamson, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Williamson in 2001.

On May 12, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark., he was united in marriage to Norma Lea Dilbeck, who survives. They have been married for fifty-six years.

Additional survivors include: one son, Kelley Williamson, of Cassville; one daughter, Rhonda (Williamson) Craig and her husband, David of Cassville; four grandchildren; and one great grandson.

In 1936 he moved to Oregon and returned to Cassville in 1947 and continued to live there until his death. He received his education in Cassville, where he graduated with the Class of 1951. He sold cars for 40 years for Chevrolet. For over 30 years he was employed with Blalack Chevrolet as sales manager and then went out on his own and opened up Cassville Auto Sales for 10 years. He also owned Seven Valleys Motel from 1963 until 1987. In 1987 he purchased a farm south of Cassville and grew chickens for George's for 15 years. In 2000 he retired. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cassville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Brother Wayne Writer will conduct the services. Burial will be at Sparks Cemetery east of Butterfield.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
