Dale Horrocks, 79, of Eagle Rock, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1927, in Park City, Utah, the son of Howard Clayton and Gladys (Buler) Horrocks. He married June Bradley in Ordway, Colo., on Aug. 25, 1949. She survives. Dale and June moved to Eagle Rock in 2004. He was an automobile collision craftsman in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Kansas City for over 50 years. He also was part owner in the B&H Body Shop. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints of the Cassville Branch. He holds the office of Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood.
Additional survivors include: four sons, William Dale Horrocks, of Eagle Rock, Richard Horrocks and his wife, Connie, of Glenaire, Clayton Horrocks and his wife, Kim, of Raymore, and David Horrocks and his wife, Tammie, of Smithville; two daughters, Teresa Carkeek and her husband, Terry, of Glenaire, and Karen Searcy and her husband, Jim, of Eagle Rock; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren
Services were held on Saturday at White Funeral Home in Cassville, with Bishop Berlan Crouch officiating. Burial was at the Appleton City Cemetery at in Appleton City with full military honors.
