A dead body was discovered by Missouri Department of Conser-vation agents on Tuesday morning near Jenkins, and now Barry County law enforcement officials are trying to determine the man's identity.
According to media reports, Barry County Coroner Skip White believes the man died from foul play and authorities are now investigating the case as a homicide. The body was found at Stubblefield Access along Flat Creek.
The man is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s and has some tattoos. No identification was found with the body.
Anyone with information about a missing person or who might know the man's identity is urged to contact the Barry County Sheriff's Department at 847-3121.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on the body in Springfield today (Wednesday).
