Lloyd J. "Cub" Crim, 79, of Washburn, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in St. John's Hospital -- Cassville.
He was born April 5, 1928, in Washburn, the son of Levi Wiley and Mary Carol (Morgan) Crim. On May 28, 1949, in Garfield, Ark., he was united in marriage to Alice Wilbanks, who survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Lloyd Allen Crim and his wife, Jeannie, of Washburn; Doug Crim, of Seligman, and Roger Crim, of Washburn; four daughters, Barbara Rainey, of Mott, N. D., Donna Belleau and her husband, Mike, of Washburn, Sandra Robinson, of Columbia, and Karen Morris, and her husband, Mike, of Grain Valley; one brother, William Benton Crim, of Highlandville; twelve grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carol Ann; eleven brothers and sisters and one grandson, Jason Crim.
He received his education in Springfield and attended Pipkin High School. On Jan. 11, 1947, he enlisted in the United States Army and served until Oct. 5, 1949. Most of his life was spent as a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Washburn. Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Glenn Erwin conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn.
