Crash causes delays on Highway 248

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 248 at the Cassville city limits last Wednesday left three people with serious injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kenneth J. Kendrick, 42, of Cassville, was westbound on Highway 248 when he crossed the center line and hit an eastbound Dodge Caravan driven by Robert B. Grace, 68, of Monett, head on. Grace and Janice Pierson, 46, of Monett, a passengers in the Grace vehicle, were taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital, and Kendrick was transported by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. The Patrol report indicated that the crash occurred at 12:10 p.m. In the photo above, local emergency responders work to extricate Kendrick from his vehicle.
