NELLIE M. STEVER

Nellie M. Stever, 101, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Monett Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 31, 1906, in Hugoton, Kan., the daughter of John Wesley and Margaret Reno England. She married Ermal Stever on Sept. 12, 1937, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1968.

Survivors include: three daughters, Sue Balmas and her husband, tom, of Monett, Bobby McColloch, of Monett and Charlotte Hess and her husband, Burl, of Cassville; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve England, and Bill England; and two sisters, Johnnie Bryant and Gladys Salyer.

She taught school in the rural areas of Cassville. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Cassville, and attended New Site Baptist Church, Monett.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at New Site Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Weibel and Rev. John Duncan officiating. Interment was at Purdy Cemetery, Purdy.
