Clara George, born March 25, 1927 to Eldon and Louise (Bringle) Ennis. Passed away Aug. 28, 2007, in Tulsa, Okla. She grew up in Cassville. She graduated from Cassville High School class of 1946. She met Burke Burnett George Jr. in 1956. They were married Aug. 23, 1957, in Tulsa at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1962 they adopted Lisa Maria George. Clara was a homemaker, mother, cook, seamstress, decorator, artist and a woman of many amazing talents. She had an eye for beauty and always made everything around her beautiful. She served others with a generous heart and would always help someone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Clara was a devoted wife to Burke Burnett George Jr. (the love of her life) who preceded her death January 25, 2007. She was a loving mother to Lisa Maria(George)May and loving Mema to Cody(who is serving a mission in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Mission) and Colton May. She is survived by Lisa, Jim May, Grandsons Cody and Colton, sisters Eldena Merrill, Shirley Fitzpatrick, and Anna Schexnayder, Sister-in laws Mildred Bettis, Greta Frederick, Sallye Merrill, Aline Burnett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be at Moore's Funeral Home, East Lawn Chapel, Thursday, Aug. 30 from 6 to 8 pm. Service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3640 S. New Haven, Friday Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. Graveside service that evening at Memory Gardens in McAlester, Okla., at 6 p.m.
