Fred L. Corn, 58, of Wheaton, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

He was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Neosho, the son of James Leslie and Pauline (Embrey) Corn. On Jan. 3, 1993, he was united in marriage to Karen McCracken, who survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Pauline Patterson, of Wheaton; two daughters, Christi Ivy, of Monett, and Kari England, of Purdy; one sister, Karen Holder and her husband, Joe, of Cassville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He received his education at Wheaton. He was employed with Efco in Monett for 19 years. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He also attended First Baptist Church in Wheaton and was an American Cowboy Rodeo Association announcer for years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Mark Hall will conduct the service. Burial with military honors will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday), in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
