Steve Wae Applegate, 53, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
He was born Dec. 5, 1953, in Claremore, Okla., the son of Billy Wae and Lillian Josephine (Carter) Applegate. On Aug. 9, 1990, in Canton, Ga., he was united in marriage to Susan Lea Rosander, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Stevie Wae Applegate, of Canton, Ga.; two daughters, Tammy Coker and her husband, Brian, of Dahlonega, Ga., and Summer Dawn Donahue and her husband, Christopher, of Berryville, Ark.; his mother, Lillian Josephine Piccinino and her husband, Mike, of Canton, Ga.; two brothers, Ricky Cain and his wife, Charlene, of St. Louis, and Billy Wae Applegate, Jr., of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Judy Sloan and her husband, Gary, of Modesto, Calif., and Marie Bagwell and her husband, Stephen, of Canton, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He received his education in Modesto, Calif. He worked most of his life as a cabinet maker in Alpharetta, Ga., and was also an ordained minister, serving as a youth pastor and in prison ministries. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, in the First Baptist Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Bob Gaddis will conduct the service. Burial will be at Mikeman Cemetery, Shell Knob.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
