Edward Salm, 72, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at his home in Golden.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1934, the son of Edward and Ruby (Hash) Salm in Cimarron, Kan. He married Bette Barnhart on June 22, 1968 in Winfield, Kan., and she survives.
He graduated from the University of Pacific in Stockton, Calif., with a PhD in Anthropology and was a Professor at SouthWestern Collage from 1965-1978. After retiring from teaching he was a pilot until 1983 for USAID, spending six years in Africa. In 1985 he and Bette moved to Golden to make their home.
Also surviving is one sister, Dolores Ray of Denver, Colo.
