RUTH MARIE FRANCIS

Ruth Marie Francis, 75, of Pierce City, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at her home after a long illness. She was born June 26, 1932, in Viola, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Martha (Taylor) Freeman. She married Harold Francis on Sept. 10, 1955, in Aurora and he survives.

She was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Monett.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Harold Dean Francis, of Pierce City and Larry G. Francis, of rogersville, Ark.; three brothers, Cleo Freeman, of Lowell, Ark., Eddie Freeman, of Angleton, Texas, and Kenneth Freeman, of Purdy; one sister, ruby Hale, of Lamar; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Grady, Eugene and Estel Freeman; and two sisters, Julia Willhite and Dorothy Owens.

Funeral service was held Saturday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. Burial was at Leann Cemetery, Jenkins.
