ROSE ELLEN CALTON

Rose Ellen Calton, 75, of Monett, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Monett Health Care. She was born May 25, 1932, in Monett, the daughter of the late John Elvis and Jane (Moriando) Long. She married Ken Calton on Oct. 14, 1951, in Monett and he survives.

She was a member of the First Methodist Women's Circle. She was a retired bank employee and bookkeeper. She was active for several years with the Barry County Youth Camp and with Crosslines in Monett.

Survivors include: one son, Brian Calton, of Lake Zurich, Ill.; one daughter, Janell Robertson and her husband, Kevin, of Green Forest, Ark.; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one brother John Edwards Long.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Monett, with Rev. Cliff Crocket officiating. Burial was at Monett IOOF Cemetery.
