New coach to host CHS soccer camp

Thursday, July 12, 2007

A Cassville Wildcat soccer camp has been scheduled by new head coach Brian Wilbanks.

The camp will be held on July 24, 25 and 26 at the high school soccer field. Sessions will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. daily. Nick Schlichtman, a former Wildcat soccer player who is now a member of the Truman State University men's soccer team, will assist Wilbanks during the camp. Schlichtman will be working specifically with players on dribbling and passing skills. Intersquad scrimmages will also be part of the camp sessions.

There will be no cost to attend the camp, and it is open to all players who intend to play high school soccer at Cassville. Players are asked to wear cleats and shin guards and bring a soccer ball.

"Anyone who plans to be part of the Wildcat soccer program in the fall needs to plan to attend this camp," said Wilbanks.

For more information about the camp, contact Coach Wilbanks at 342-3220.
