Maxine went to be with her Lord and Savior July7, 2007.

Maxine was born September 12, 1923, to Jake and Alma (Banks) Day. Maxine lived all of her life on Trents Creek at the bottom of Jake Day Hill. Maxine never wanted to be called Grandma, so all of the children and grandchildren called her "Mom". She was a mom to all of them. Maxine worked on the farm milking cows, raising chickens, and cooking for her family. After more than 20 years of service with Bella Vista Vacation Rentals, she retired from cleaning houses in 1991. Maxine was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

On December 14, 1940, she was united in marriage to Osa Hendrix. They were married 61 years. To this union three children were born, Johnie, Fern, and Patsy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Osa, a daughter, Fern, two sisters, Pearl Shipley and Opal Day and a daughter-in-law, Lois Hendrix.

She is survived by a son, Johnie Hendrix and his wife, Pat, and a daughter, Patsy Wright and her husband, Donnie.

Maxine is survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses: Wayne and Jackie Hendrix, Bobbi Sanders, Gina and Kerry Thompson, Sherry and Brian Cox, Kevin Wright, Keith and Tiffany Hendrix, and Brian and Leslie Hendrix.

She is survived by fifteen great-grandchildren: Johnie Wayne Hendrix, Josh Sanders, Jessica Hendrix, Josy (Sanders) McIntyre, Rachel (Bivens) Wilson, Jamie Bivens, Jason Bittle, Bailie Wright, Jay Bivens, Tanner Wright, Jazmin Fielding, Hayley Hendrix, Mason Hendrix, Dustin Hendrix, and Bryson Hendrix.

She is survived by three great-great grandchildren: Bailey Hendrix, Haiden Sanders, and Brylee Hendrix.

She is also survived by a sister, Ruby Sanders, a niece Phyllis Rollins, and a nephew Jerry Sanders, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Roller Cemetery, Washburn. Paid
