Juanita Lee Edens, 86, on July 4, 2007, at McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage. She was a resident at Sunny Hills Residential Care Facility in Carthage for the past three years.
She was born on May 24, 1921, in Exeter, the daughter of Bert and Ruby Benigar Smithson. She worked most of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant in private home care and in residential facilities. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville, where she was a member of the choir and the Triple "L" Club.
Survivors include: one daughter, Gail Park Hurlbut, of Diamond; one son, Clinton Ray Baker, of Bull Shoals, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Billie Ann Hoback Stotts, one sister, Mary Lucille Haddock, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville with Rev. John Duncan officiating. Burial was at the Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.
