William "Bill" edmondson, 93, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Muskogee, Okla. He was born April 29, 1914, in Cassville to John B. "Boss" and Alma Edmondson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, his brother, John, and his sister, Jo Ann Kimball.
Survivors include: one sister, Helen Burk, of Chico, Calif.; one son USAF Major William R. "Rocky" Edmondson, MIA Vietnam; one daughter, Gayle Ann Farmer and her husband, Barry, of Muskogee, Okla.; son Jim Bower and his wife, Mona, of Cassville; three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
He was a lifetime resident of Cassville, serving as mayor and concessionaire of Roaring River State Park. Through the years he owned various businesses including the Edmondson's Food Store, Ozark Realty and Bill's Hickory Pit.
Graveside service was held Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, with Rev. Bob Neeley officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Bradley Funeral Service of Muskogee, Okla.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Bower, Will Farmer, Mike McDuff, Bob Gaddis, Rudolph Harris, Bob Lee, Bob Neeley, Verdayne Riddle, John Seely, Glenn Smith and Herschel Stehlik.
